dude.

i tried to write an entry yesterday but that didn't happen...i need to get myself a Gold membership somehow, so i don't get stuck in the queue of people who are all trying to post at certain times in the day. which is also why i sometimes lose entries!

last night was crazy. four of us went out for drinks with a client of mine and got pretty ripped. it was ridiculous. and pretty stupid, too, given that we have that tri the day after tomorrow!

still--it was a great time out. kristin is upset at herself, but i frankly think you should only be upset at yourself if you feel like you've pissed away the evening. i had to work, so i don't feel that way. sigh.

what else? so today i've had leftover chinese noodles, gazpacho, a haircut, a bag of chips, some sprite, some orangina, and...oh, i'm having my contact lens fitting later today. in an hour.

i can't wait to go home and go to bed. you have no idea. :)

i had my mid-year review the other day. it was like, dude. my boss kept on telling me i'm too right-brained. well, duh. it is what it is. play to my strengths, use me as befits my talents, and all will go well.

i'm what they should call the cleaner. when an account starts to go sour, call me in to wine and dine and make people happy, make them like the company and the book again.

then when they start warming up again, i give 'em back to the proper rep, and i take over the next batch of soured accounts.

do away with my quota and i'll be damned happy.

sigh.

i'm toying with the idea of ordering a subscription to the original weekly Elle magazine. (it's in french, which will do wonders for my rapidly disappearing fluency.) but it's--damn! a whole $219 for a subscription! i mean, holy cow!

would i be able to read it all in a week? likely not. or maybe so.

anyway, maybe i should try it.

hmmm. hello? birfday giftee for me, anyone?

this weekend is me and jim's 2nd "anniversary." it rings a little falsely, doesn't it, for those of us who aren't married to be celebrating such things?

no matter. we celebrate every day of our lives. that's nice.
