Whoa.
I've had a whirlwind week and am not quite recovered from it.
I got back from New Hampshire on Sunday night. ARFE took 4th place; very happy for them and for me.
On Monday Chris Rice wrote to me and urged me to get ARFE jerseys. I arranged for that that day. I can't remember Tuesday at all.
Wednedsay was my birfday party, and I don't really remember anything until the party itself. Also I don't remember much past 10PM that night.
Thursday I took the day off and recovered things like the charity tally for that night and a little bit of sanity.
Friday I came back into work and I don't remember much of that either except for a meeting that felt vaguely awkward because I was tired, tired, tired.
Then on Saturday we spent a lovely day doing absolutely nothing but paying bills and, in general, running errands, and it was while I was paying bills and watching my bank account roll rapidly towards the zero side of things that I realized that it was nice to be able to sit and do mundane things together (Jim, at my back on his own computer, was playing a computer game) and I said, "This is nice," and Jim said, "it's peaceful, isn't it?"
Well now, I don't know if I'd have chosen the word "peaceful," but whatever. I mean, paying bills is hardly peaceful. In fact it can be quite stressful sometimes!
Anyway. Then it was off to Charleston for our annual sales meeting, which has an amazing way of making me feel incredibly unpopular, which is just scary.
Wait, that sounded awful.
Anyway, you know what I mean.
Alright. I'm gettin' outta here. Got some things to do tonight that involve serious reacquainting myself with my home after having been gone for a few days. Bah!
