Am too tired right now and am fighting head cold (throat is a little scratchy too) and so am going lazy punk route, courtesy of Kate

1. What time did you get up this morning?
8-ish.

2. Diamonds or pearls?
Both, preferably. Not worn together, unless in one spectacularly designed piece of jewelry a la Cartier.

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
I can't remember for the life of me.

4. What is your favorite TV show?
Used to be Nip/Tuck. Now is Ed.

5. What did you have for breakfast?
Cheerios.

6. What's your middle name?
Haven't One.

7. What is your favorite cuisine?
Um. I think my mother's brand of hodge-podge cooking: vegetables thrown into a pot with ginger and some garlic. And her acclaimed Toaster Fish.

8. What foods do you dislike?
Sea Cucumbers. Anything else that it looked like it may have undulated, slimy and thick, across a surface of any sort. That includes escargots. Don't let those hard shiny shells fool you. They are just slugs underneath.

9. What is your favorite chip flavor?
Kate says this is a very European question so I will answer in European fashion: Just Plain.

10. What is your favorite CD at the moment?
I don't know. Everything is on iPod.

11. What kind of car do you drive?
Jim's PT Cruiser. The mini-hearse.

12. Favorite sandwich?
Uh. Rare roast beast with brie.

13. What characteristics do you despise?
Arrogance. How cliche of me.

14. Favorite item of clothing?
Stretch wide-legged chinos from BR. I like 'em. They are getting big in the waist from me wearing em every day.

15. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?
This is a silly question, since the answer is, how long is the vacation, because there is a lot I haven't seen.

16. What colour is your bathroom?
White and sunny yellow.

17. Favorite brand of clothing?
Theory, hands down.

18. Where would you retire to?
Ummmm. I don't think it matters. Someplace with equal access to water and mountains, or at least large-ish hills. And no, sand dunes don't count.

19. Favorite time of day?
Lunch break. or Twilight. Love twilight.

20. What was your most memorable birthday?
30. Loved 30. Lots of friends and $500 raised for MSNYC. Very good.

21. Where were you born?
Chia-Yi, Taiwan.

22. Favorite sport to watch?
Tour de France. Baseball in the deep, deep background while I'm writing sometimes.

23. What fabric detergent do you use?
All Clear.

24. Coke or Pepsi?
root beer.

25. What makes you most happy about the world?
Karma, sometimes. Payback, others. Is that the same thing? Mostly, though, the occassional--and not infrequent feeling--I get of being very, very lucky for any number of reasons.

26. What makes you most sad about the world?
Bungholes. Yes, bungholes. People who are just so inept that they ruin it for even one other person.

27. What do you order at a coffee shop?
Depends. Lately, Tazo Wild Orange Tea.
